Message From Chief Michael J. Boyd
Edmonton Police Service
On behalf of the Edmonton Police Service, it is my great pleasure to extend a warm welcome to all delegates attending the 105th annual conference of the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police.
The local organizing committee has been working with the CACP national office team for many months, working hard to ensure that the conference agenda is both timely and thought-provoking. As a long-term sworn member, I have a keen appreciation for the challenges that Police Services everywhere face on a daily basis. Our conference theme, “Policing Excellence Through Performance and Accountability,” certainly captures our collective commitment to providing outstanding service to all Canadians.
This conference provides valuable opportunities to network, to learn, and to share information and concerns that affect us all. Thank you for participating in this prestigious gathering.
I wish you all the best for a productive conference and a pleasant stay in Edmonton. From strolling through the magnificent North Saskatchewan River Valley to taking in world-class dining and shopping venues, you’ll find there are lots of things to see and do in Alberta’s Capital City.
Yours truly,
Michael J. Boyd, C.O.M.
Chief of Police
Edmonton Police Service
