Message From Deputy Commissioner Rod Knecht RCMP, K DivisionAs the Commanding Officer of “K” Division and on behalf of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police I am honoured to welcome the delegates of the 105th annual conference of the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police.
I am confident that this conference will provide invaluable tools and networking opportunities to help address the challenges we all face as policing organizations. I know the national and local organizing committees have worked incredibly hard to ensure the conference agenda will make your participation worthwhile. The conference theme, “Policing Excellence through Performance and Accountability”, serves to provoke timely thought and discussion and highlights the dedication and passion all policing organizations have in providing service to Canadian communities. Thank you for being a contributing member to the discussions and for sharing your experiences and best practices. As a collective we can all learn from each other.
I want to extend to you a warm welcome to the City of Edmonton and I hope you have a pleasant stay. There are many things to see and do here in our great city. I hope you will take advantage of all it has to offer.
Sincerely,
R.R. (Rod) KNECHT, D/Commr.
