The Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police provides opportunities for police leaders from all parts of the country to come together to address key policing issues of the day.

Your theme of "Policing Excellence Through Performance and Accountability" shows your dedication to your profession. Canadians expect, and deserve, policing excellence and accountability, Highlighting it as this conference demonstrates the openness and respect you have for the community members you serve.

Safe communities are a top priority for Albertans, one I know is shared by each of you, and I appreciate your commitment and dedication to achieving this goal.
