We invite you to become a Sponsor of the 2010 Annual Conference of the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP) to be held in Edmonton, AB, August 22-25, 2010. Hosted by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and Edmonton Police Service, an audience of over 350 member delegates and 150 Company exhibitors is anticipated.

The Association is national in character. Its interests and concerns have relevance to police at all levels including municipal, regional, provincial and federal. Many of the initiatives and the work of the Association and its committees through the year are reported on at the Annual Conference when recommendations are tendered and resolutions adopted. In many cases, these form the basis of the Association’s ongoing work on behalf of the policing community and the society that it serves.

The CACP is dedicated to the support and promotion of efficient law enforcement and to the protection and security of the people of Canada. Much of the work in pursuit of these goals is done through the activities and special projects of a number of committees and through active liaison with various levels of government and departmental ministries having legislative and executive responsibility in law and policing.

Our objectives:
  • Advocating legislative reform, resources allocation and policy improvements with the people of Canada and their governments;
  • Advocating innovative solutions for crime and public order issues with CACP partners and concerned people of Canada;
  • Advocating community partnerships with the people of Canada;
  • Advocating the highest professional and ethical standards with the police community;
  • Promoting excellence through the provision of service, support and information to CACP Members.

Our beliefs:

That preserving and respecting the Rule of Law and the Charter of Rights and Freedoms guarantee policing by consent of our society.

That quality police service:
  • Must enhance the safety and development of communities;
  • Requires continuous learning for professional excellence and pride;
  • Is premised on integrity and accountability;
  • Requires empowerment to produce innovation and creativity.

We encourage you to consider sponsoring at the CACP 2010 Conference and Tradeshow.
